In March, the second gas auction from Gazprom Export for the supply of gas to the Baltic countries will be held, according to the press service of the company.

“Gazprom export” in mid-March, will hold the second auction for gas supply in the Baltic States. Fuel supplies will be delivered in 2, 3 and 4 blocks away in 2016 in a GIS point Kotlovka (the border of Belarus and Lithuania). Also will be offered for sale is the gas volume in Inčukalns UGS (Latvia). Total offer at the auction of gas will reach more than 560 million cubic meters,” quotes RIA Novosti.

Gazprom Export announced in July, the auction for the supply of 3.2 billion cubic meters of gas during the winter 2015/2016. 39 companies successfully passed the pre-selection for participation in the auction.

As a result of the first auction in the gas company's history, only 1 billion cubic meters of gas were sold of the proposed 3.2 billion.
