Micro-enterprises in Russia will be transferred to a new tax regime as part of an experiment

The Russian authorities will launch an experiment on the transfer of microenterprises to an automated simplified taxation system. This was announced by the country's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a government meeting.

"On the instructions of the president, an experiment will be launched that will allow these businesses to switch to a new tax regime - an automated simplified taxation system," Mishustin said.

He specified that the new system will greatly simplify the interaction of entrepreneurs with the state. The participants of the experiment will not have to prepare and file tax returns, as payments will be calculated automatically based on the data of cash registers and movement of accounts in an authorized bank. Businesses will be able to transfer wages to staff through this bank, said the prime minister.

The new regime will be available to organizations and individual entrepreneurs with annual income of no more than 60 million rubles and a staff of no more than five people.

"In order to take advantage of this opportunity, you do not have to go anywhere. It will be possible to do it in the personal office of the taxpayer", - added Mishustin.

The authorities expect that the new approach will have a positive impact on the activities of microenterprises and will help reduce non-production costs, while companies will be able to direct the freed resources towards their own development.

The experiment will last for about 6 years, and the Kaluga Region and Tatarstan have already announced their willingness to take part in it.
