Novosibirsk region is working to create information tours to the Republic of Dagestan for representatives of the tourism community. This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development of the region Lev Reshetnikov.

"Work on organization of joint cross-marketing information tours to demonstrate tourist opportunities of Novosibirsk region in winter and the Republic of Dagestan in summer for representatives of Novosibirsk tour operators to representatives of the Republic of Dagestan," - quoted him as saying TASS.

He explained that information tours have already shown themselves as an effective tool for promotion of domestic and inbound tourism in the region.

This will allow representatives of tourism business to include new objects in existing routes and increase tourist flow to already popular destinations, the minister said.

It is worth noting that the tourist flow to Dagestan is growing from year to year. So, in 2017 the republic was visited by 608 thousand people, in 2018 - about 700 thousand, in 2019 - 850 thousand. It is expected that by the end of 2021 more than 1 million tourists will visit the republic.
