In the period from January to June 2021, foreign investors have invested in the economy of Moscow almost 270 billion dollars, said Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.

"Foreign investors are showing a steady interest in Moscow. Today, the capital accounts for half of all accumulated foreign investments coming into Russia. According to the latest data from the Central Bank, as of July 1, 2021, their volume reached $268.5 billion," he said.

In particular, investors from Germany invested $8.7 billion, France - $4.9 billion, Finland - $4.3 billion, the United States - $3.7 billion, Italy - $3.6 billion.

It is noted that investors often invest in financial and insurance companies, trade, industry and high technology, as well as real estate.

In addition, foreign businesses implement projects in healthcare - in the Moscow International Medical Cluster on the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
