Almost half of SMEs raised their prices

More than 40% of Russian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have increased selling prices for their goods and services in the past three months. This data was published in a new study by Promsvyazbank (PSB), the business association Opora Rossii and Magram Market Research agency.

According to the survey, 48% of companies have not changed the price in the past three months, 46% have raised it and 5% have reduced it.

The leaders in price increase are trade enterprises - 65% of the companies in the survey did so. In manufacturing sector 47% of companies raised prices and in services sector only 24% did it.

Among those SMEs that raised their prices, about 50% increased them within 10%.

According to the survey, 85% of small and medium sized enterprises raised their prices due to the increase in procurement prices.
