Packaging that decomposes in the soil in six months has been developed in Russia
Russia has developed the first food packaging made of laminated cardboard, which decomposes in the soil in six months. This was reported by the press service of the company-developer OSQ.
"Laminated Kraft packaging when put into the ground decomposes by 100% within six months and has no analogues in Russia. By comparison, the plastic food packaging begins to decompose in the ground only after 400 years ", - noted the company.
It is known that the production is started at the company's plant in Vidnoye, Moscow region.
At the same time, OSQ plans to increase the capacity and organize the production of innovative packaging at the plant in Kaliningrad. The investment in construction will be 1.1 billion rubles.
