The growth of trade turnover in Russia by the end of 2021 will be 7%, said the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov at the government hour in the State Duma.

"I would like to note that despite the limitations of the pandemic, the turnover is growing by 7%. At the same time the behavioral model of consumption is changing, which is clearly demonstrated by the dynamics of online sales," he said and added that over the past two years online sales have doubled.

In addition, Manturov pointed out that the potential of retail and wholesale markets is very high, but their spread is constrained by regulatory barriers.

In this regard, the government will submit a bill on retail and wholesale markets to the Duma early next year, the minister said.
