From January to September 2021, Moscow has increased non-energy exports of the capital to the Asia-Pacific market by 10.8% - up to 6.53 billion dollars, said Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

"Moscow continues to strengthen foreign trade relations with Asia-Pacific countries and increase sales of non-energy commodities. Since 2019, the capital's producers have managed to increase their shipments by 45%-from $4.5 billion to $6.53 billion. If we compare Moscow's export performance with other Russian regions, the capital has a clear advantage: the city's share in all-Russian exports to APR countries is 35%," he said.

It is noted that non-resource non-energy exports of Moscow entrepreneurs to the U.S. market amounted to 2.2 million dollars, compared to the same periods in 2020 and 2019, the figure increased by 27.8% and 59.2% respectively.

Moscow's non-energy exports to the Indian market reached $535.8 million during the same period, up 64.4% and 36.9% from the same periods in 2020 and 2019, respectively.

The top three largest importers of the capital also include the Republic of Korea, which purchased $477.25 million worth of goods in the first nine months of 2021, an increase of 183.4% and 168.2% over the same periods in 2020 and 2019, respectively.
