Russia and South Korea increase trade turnover by 60%

The trade turnover between Russia and South Korea in the first nine months of 2021 increased by 60%, said Russian Ambassador to Seoul Andrei Kulik.

"The dynamics of mutual trade turnover is gradually recovering after the decline caused by the coronavirus infection. In the first nine months of 2021, the volume of Russian-Korean trade increased by almost 60% to about $22 billion. This suggests that this figure may reach a historical maximum of $30 billion in the near future," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, the development of relations between the states is dynamic and progressive in nature.

Besides, he noted that Moscow and Seoul maintain political dialogue on the bilateral agenda, key international and regional issues including settlement of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
