Russia's 2021 net weight grain harvest was 120.7 million tons, including 75.9 million tons of wheat, Rosstat reported.

According to the service, the collection of rye in 2021 was 1.7 million tons against 2.4 million tons in 2020, corn - 14.6 million tons (in 2020 - 13.9 million tons), barley - 18 million tons (20.9 million tons), oats - 3.8 million tons (4.1 million tons), rice - 1.074 million tons (1.142 million tons), buckwheat - 921 thousand tons (892 thousand tons), sunflower - 15.5 million tons (13.3 million tons).

The harvest of sugar beet in 2021 was 38.7 million tons (33.9 million tons in 2020), potatoes - 18.2 million tons (19.6 million tons), vegetables - 13.3 million tons (13.9 million tons), fruits and berries - 3.9 million tons (3.7 million tons).

It is worth noting that in 2020, the harvest of grain in Russia was 133.5 million tons, including wheat - 85.9 million tons.

Recall, the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin at the annual press conference said that the reduction of the grain harvest in 2021 will not have negative consequences.

"But this is a very good result, which will give us the opportunity not only to provide for ourselves, but will also keep us a very significant export potential," he assured.
