Russia will become one of the world's top 10 economies by 2036, analysts at the British consulting company Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) believe.

According to experts, the growth rate of the Russian economy will be about 2.4% per year in 2021-2025, and 1.6% per year - in 2025-2030 and the same 1.6% - in 2030-2035. At the end of 2021, Russia will be in 12th place in the ranking of the largest economies in the world, by 2026 it will fall to 13th place, but in 2036 will be in the top 10.

Analysts also increased the expected time frame for China to overtake the United States. China could become the world's leading economy in dollar terms in 2030. India has the potential to surpass France next year and Great Britain in 2023, regaining its place as the world's sixth largest economy, experts said.

Cebr predicts global output in 2022 will exceed $100 trillion for the first time. In 2023-2024, countries will face a recession if economies fail to cope with inflation, which in the U.S. has reached 6.8%.

Recall that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country's GDP growth is expected to be 4.5% for the year.
