Trade between Russia and Belgium in the first nine months of this year increased by 40%, to 8.35 billion dollars, compared with the same period last year. At the same time export of Russian goods increased by half (by 48.55%) and amounted to 6.5 billion dollars.

Supplies of Belgian products to Russia increased by 18% (plus $280 million), reaching $1.84 billion, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Russia's deliveries to this country included fuel and oil ($2.082 billion), ferrous metals ($1.74 billion), pearls, precious stones and metals ($1.47 billion). In addition, Russia exported ships, plastic, wood and fertilizers.

Russia at the same time imported from Belgium reactors, boilers, equipment, organic chemicals and pharmaceutical products.

It is specified that positive balance of trade between Russia and Belgium over this period was 4.67 billion dollars. This is 65% more than a year ago.

In Russia's foreign trade turnover over nine months, Belgium moved up from 17th place last year to 16th this year.
