Sausage exports from Moscow increased by 23%

Moscow entrepreneurs exported processed meat products worth $28.35 million in January-September 2021, a 23.23% increase over the same period last year, said Alexander Prokhorov, head of the city's investment and industrial policy department.

"Moscow sausages are in great demand from foreign consumers. The figures speak for themselves: over the past three years, the capital's exporters have increased the supply of sausage products from $18.87 million to $28.35 million. Thus, since 2018, the increase was 50.21%," he said.

The geography of supplies now includes 15 countries. Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia are in the top five. At the same time Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Armenia strongly increased the volume of imports: by 114.58%, 112.11%, to 48.75% respectively, said the mayor's office.
