Most Russian businessmen positively evaluated the experience of working with partners from China

More than 85% of Russian businessmen positively evaluated their own experience of working with colleagues from China, said business ombudsman, chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee Boris Titov.

The committee conducted the poll in December with the participation of CEOs and owners of 1,012 companies from 85 Russian regions that have experience of cooperation with China.

Titov noted that 85.7% of domestic businessmen described their personal experience with partners from China as positive, despite the difficulties.

"At the same time, only 16% of entrepreneurs have experience in setting up joint companies with Chinese partners," he continued, adding that 14.3% of respondents had negative experiences.

More than a third of business owners (37.6%) mentioned import of goods and services as the main direction of interaction with China. Almost the same number of entrepreneurs (35%) mentioned export.

The largest share falls on cooperation in trade (29.3%). On the second line is industry (22.2%). Next comes agriculture (10.5%), transport (4.3%), construction (3.8%), medicine and pharmaceuticals (3.4%), tourism (3.1%) and others.
