Forbes has compiled a rating of Russian billionaires who have become very rich this year. It was headed by the creator of the messenger Telegram Pavel Durov, whose fortune this year has grown by 13.81 billion dollars to 17.24 billion dollars.

The entrepreneur's fortune has increased sharply due to an increase in the valuation of his main asset. In March, Telegram placed its own bonds for the first time and raised one billion dollars on the market. And in October, the messenger saw a surge in users after Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp crashed in October. Telegram registered 70 million new users.

The second line in the ranking was taken by the founder of Wildberries Tatyana Bakalchuk. Her fortune rose by $11.92 billion to $13.02 billion. According to Forbes, the growth of Wildberries value was influenced by a successful initial public offering (IPO) of Ozon, the main competitor of Wildberries.

Andrei Melnichenko, the main shareholder of Eurochem and SUEK, rounded out the top three. His fortune grew during the year by 10,60 billion dollars.
