Moscow ice cream exports increased by 1.7 times in three quarters

The Russian capital has increased the supply of ice cream in the first three quarters of 2021 by 1.7 times in money terms, up to 39.64 million tons, compared with the same period in 2020, said the head of the department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow, Alexander Prokhorov.

He said that the capital exported 15.94 thousand tons of ice cream (plus 65.3% to 2020 figures).

Deliveries of cold delicacies to the U.S. at the same time increased from 3.89 million dollars in 2020 to 19.66 million dollars in 2021.

Kazakhstan came in second place among importers, and Canada came in third.

In total, Moscow-made dessert for nine months was supplied to 31 countries (in the same period in 2020 the number of such countries was 23).

In general, the volume of agro-industrial exports of the Russian capital for nine months increased by 11% and amounted to 2.8 billion dollars. Among the main goods of the capital's agro-industrial complex are sugar, the supply of which increased by 9.1%, to $84.63 million. On the second place - chocolate products (plus 47,1%), on the third - flour confectionery products (increase of more than 37%).
