Belarus and Russia intend to expand industrial cooperation

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov discussed with the Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Alexei Avramenko the development of industrial cooperation in the field of civil aircraft construction.

Last September Russia suggested expanding industrial cooperation with Belarus in import substitution. Successful examples of such cooperation include joint work in aviation industry, in particular within Be-200 program, as the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted. Belarusian-made parts are now purchased for the production of such aircraft.

"Denis Manturov stressed that there is a high potential demand for civilian aircraft in the EEU member states and it is reasonable to offer the development of cooperation programs with the discussion of the prospects of supplying aircraft MC-21, SSJ100 and IL-114-300," the ministry said.

It is specified that the United Aircraft Corporation has already sent a list of components, contracted under the program of import substitution systems of the MS-21 aircraft. According to the Russian Ministry, Belarus may take part in tenders to select suppliers on this list.
