Nearly ₽100 million will be received by farmers of the Sverdlovsk region who suffered from the drought
Agrarians of the Sverdlovsk region, which suffered from last year's drought, will receive almost 100 million rubles to reimburse part of the cost of grain production, said the Governor of the region Yevgeny Kuyvashev.
"Those companies, which lost their harvest, will definitely receive a subsidy to support and reimburse part of the costs related to production and sales of grain crops. Regional and federal budgets will allocate almost 100 million rubles," he said.
It is expected that about 100 agricultural producers will be able to receive support in the first year. Farms that have grown and sold crops from January, 1 till July, 20, 2022 can claim for the payment.
In July 2021 an emergency situation was declared in 39 out of the 96 territories of the Sverdlovsk Oblast due to the drought. The losses amounted to about 2-3 billion rubles.
