In Buryatia in 2022 the construction of a building of the national theater of songs and dances "Baikal" will start, said Dmitry Kobunov, Deputy Minister of Construction and Modernization of Housing and Communal Complex of the Republic.

He noted that the Buryat National Theater of Song and Dance "Baikal" was established in 1942. It includes an orchestra, a dance troupe and vocalists, but it still does not have its own building.

Also in the region it is planned to start the construction of Bichur children's school of arts, reconstruction of the museum-estate of Ivan Goldobin and the building of the Buryat Republican Puppet Theater "Ulger".
