Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok, established in 1987, is now one of the leading Russian enterprises in the rehabilitation industry, uniting within the microcluster production base, scientific and methodological center, rehabilitation center, a chain of orthopedic salons in walking distance.
The company's services include: production of a wide range of orthopedic products; development of rehabilitation technologies, hardware and software for their implementation; rehabilitation of patients with diseases of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system.
Besides, throughout all the years of its existence, Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok has been carrying out scientific and practical work aimed at creating new samples of medical and rehabilitation equipment.
History of the company
In the early 90's, the first express-orthesizing system in Russia was developed at the Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok, combining the advantages of individual approach with the quality of serial products and focusing on solving the problems of a particular patient.
One of the key moments in the history of the company's development was the opening of Ogonyok's own rehabilitation center in Electrostal, Moscow Region, for children suffering from cerebral palsy, spinal dysraphism, consequences of brain injury and stroke. The Center was built at the expense of its own investments and has been successfully functioning as part of the association since 2003.
Rehabilitation Center
The Rehabilitation Center is a modern medical facility with a total area of more than 6000 square meters, which includes a physical therapy department, a 25-meter swimming pool adapted for classes with disabled people, functional diagnostics rooms, shock wave therapy, oscillatory therapy, physiotherapy, climatotherapy, therapy with medicinal mixtures based on high-purity medical gases, massage, water therapy department, a complex of therapeutic baths, comfortable rooms to accommodate the disabled and their companions, spacious halls, winter garden, cozy cafe.
Rehabilitation in the Center
The facility's scientific and methodological base includes modern methods of rehabilitation of children's cerebral palsy, consequences of craniocerebral injuries and congenital anomalies of the central nervous system and spinal cord.
Since the Center is a part of the scientific and production association, the treatment process is based on author's rehabilitation technologies, the main one of which is dynamic proprioceptive correction, based on the use of a reflex loading device Graviton. The device was developed in the Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok and is now well known to specialists both in Russia and abroad.
The main task of rehabilitation specialists is to implement a comprehensive approach to solving problems of people with disabilities. Each patient, in addition to rehabilitation therapy, receives the necessary set of so-called small orthopedic aids. Orthopedic correction is an obligatory link in the complex of rehabilitation measures, so the company is constantly working on creating new samples of technical means of rehabilitation.
The Ogonyok brand produced
Products
At present, the range of orthopedic products, developed in the Center and produced under the brand Ogonyok, has about 100 items. These are bandages, corsets, posture correctors, insoles-supinators, complex orthopedic systems and devices. Most of the products are made of a special material - elastic fabric Tricor, developed at the Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok specially for the production of orthoses.
In recent years, the company has developed a line of fundamentally new orthopedic devices for the lower extremities and torso for disabled children due to cerebral palsy and spinal dysraphism from the first year of life. The design of the apparatuses, despite its complexity, is light and comfortable for everyday use and practically does not limit the child's movements in sitting, standing and walking positions, which certainly expands the opportunities for recovery treatment of patients with spastic paralysis, increases their rehabilitation potential and improves their quality of life.
For the same purposes, a walker with a partial de-weighting function has been developed, which makes it possible in a short time to teach walking those patients, who do not move independently.

2014
In 2014 Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok became a laureate of the contest Moscow Entrepreneur in the category Leader of Industry for its successful activity in the production of medical devices.
2016
In 2016 Scientific and Production Center Ogonyok became the winner of the competition The Best Social Project of the Year in the field of public-private partnership in the development and production of technical means for the rehabilitation of disabled people for the invention and widespread introduction of a biomechanical rotational-corrective apparatus for disabled children, which has no analogues in the world.
2019
In 2019, in the framework of the same competition, the latest development of the enterprise, a mobile system of verticalization and walking training for disabled children with motor disorders, was awarded a special prize of the Federation Council.
