International Aero Navigation Systems Concern
International Aero Navigation Systems Concern is a Russian innovative scientific and production company, one of the leaders in the development and implementation of advanced technologies and systems to ensure the safety and efficiency of flights, manned and unmanned aerial vehicles of civil aviation and special purpose aviation in Russia, as well as in the field of air navigation and meteorological support of flights.
The company was established more than 9 years ago on the basis of scientific potential of the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy. The staff of the organization includes 18 doctors and 64 candidates of science, among them 11 professors. International Aero Navigation Systems Concern holds more than 45 Russian and international patents and certificates.
All equipment of IANS JSC is developed taking into account standards and recommended practices of SARPS, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), as well as EUROCAE and RTCA and is successfully operated in different climatic conditions, including the equator and the polar region.
Catalog of proposed technologies
The company International Aero Navigation Systems Concern offers such innovative solutions in the field of air navigation as:
● equipping airfields and heliports with Remote Video Terminal systems, including Digital Tower technology to increase situational awareness and solve visual surveillance problems;
● airfields and heliports are equipped with ground traffic control and monitoring systems;
● flight meteorological support - Low-Level Windshear Alert System;
● Wake Vortex detection systems at the airport;
● multifunctional air traffic control workstation to integrate information from all of the above solutions on one touch screen display;
● a meteorological radar complex designed to collect, process and provide information on various meteorological phenomena to meteorological services, civil and state aviation departments and other consumers. This complex can be both mobile and stationary.
At the same time, the company has developed technology to counteract the unmanned aerial vehicles, implemented solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles based on hydrogen fuel cells and is working on a project to implement the unmanned aerial vehicles in the Common Airspace (UTM).
All developments are being tested by the company on its own flight experimental base Orlovka located in the Tver region. The airdrome is equipped with two runways (asphalt and ground) and is officially certified for night starts. There is also a certified Nebosvod-Avia aviation training center at Orlovka. The aerodrome is an accredited testing laboratory of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Russian Federation.
Projects
International Aero Navigation Systems Concern has executed a number of large projects on implementation of perspective solutions in the field of air navigation and meteorological support of flights. Low-Level Windshear Alert Systems have been deployed in the airports of Sochi, Baikonur, Minsk and other cities. Remote video surveillance systems have been deployed at Vnukovo Airport, vortex trace detection systems have been installed at Changi Airport in Singapore, and other projects to deliver equipment to cities of Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States countries and South-East Asia have been completed.
In April 2020, in order to address the tasks aimed at overcoming the spread and consequences of the coronavirus epidemic, the International Aero Navigation Systems Concern conducted an exercise on planning and execution of work using unmanned aerial vehicles in the emergency zone together with other participants of the Russian unmanned aviation systems market.
The complex event included joint flights of drones and aircrafts, development of algorithms of interaction between emergency services, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, law enforcement agencies, search teams and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, work on the rapid delivery of medical supplies and samples to coronavirus for long and short distances using aircraft- and multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles, disinfection of unmanned aerial vehicles after work in the emergency zone, airborne warning of the population in a large area with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles with a long flight time, monitoring of areas and zones potentially dangerous to the population with prompt information to law enforcement agencies and measures to disinfect contaminated areas with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The exercise showed how modern technologies can be used to combat the pandemic in any, even hard-to-reach, region of the country.
At present, in addition to improving and promoting already implemented projects, the International Aero Navigation Systems Concern is actively working to create new, no less interesting and ambitious ones. One of them is Dronport Aeronet, which will carry out research, educational and practical activities for the development of a new subbranch of the aviation industry - Unmanned Aviation Industry.
