"Information satellite systems" (refers to Roscosmos) And the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University will jointly develop a mobile medical radiation therapy complex. For this purpose, a unique domestic technology of a small-sized betatron will be used, Roscosmos reported.

Today, the existing analogues in the country are highly specific, and the new development is a high-tech equipment that can solve a wide range of tasks at once, said the rector of the university, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Peter Glybochko. At the same time, it will have a more favorable price compared to the imported device.

"Today, in the context of import substitution, we are ready to create an exclusively domestic product. The mobile radiotherapy complex will be available in all regions of Russia," said Nikolay Testoyedov, General Director of Information Satellite Systems.

It is planned to complete the creation and conduct tests of the first pre-production samples in 2024. After certification and registration, the complexes will be delivered to medical institutions.
