In Moscow, in July, it is planned to open a workshop for processing waste from the production of packaging materials, said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital.

In particular, waste from cardboard and polymer packaging of its own production, as well as packaging materials from dairy plants, will be processed.

In the future, the project may extend to consumer packaging.

"Moscow industrial companies support environmental initiatives aimed at introducing a mechanism for extended producer responsibility," Ovchinsky said.
