One of the largest manufacturers of glass lids and non-stick cookware in the country, Gvura from the Sverdlovsk region, is scaling up its enterprise and plans to increase the volume of production of lids from 800 thousand to 1.5 million per month.

"We produce glass lids for all enterprises of the Russian Federation that produce tableware. Now we have three lines, where we produce about 10 million caps a year, and we plan to launch two more lines before the fall. Our goal is to completely replace imported goods in our market," said Igor Vakhrushev, CEO of the company.

According to him, the demand for the company's tableware began to grow during the pandemic amid the destruction of logistics chains. Today, the company's tableware is supplied to stores throughout the country and to neighboring countries, and in the future the company intends to enter the Central Asian market.

The company works around the clock, shipping six trucks of products per day. It is planned to increase the staff from 200 to 250 people.

"We have rebuilt some technological processes, changed logistics, this made it possible to facilitate the work of employees, increase productivity," Vakhrushev added.

In general, the enterprises of the Middle Urals in the first quarter of this year increased production by 28% compared to the same period last year, said the Minister of Industry and Science of the region Sergey Perestoronin.
