Rostselmash will replace all imported components in production by autumn
Rostselmash, the largest Russian manufacturer of agricultural machinery, plans to fully resolve issues related to the supply of components by the autumn, the co-owner of the company Konstantin Babkin said.
"Each tractor and each combine consists of about 20 thousand parts, until February of this year about 10% of these components came from abroad, that is, about 2-2.7 thousand parts in our self-propelled vehicles are imported. There are problems with about half or two-thirds of them - with logistics, simply refusal of delivery, extension of the delivery period, passage of payments. That is, about 1 thousand components out of 20 thousand now complicate the production of machines," TASS quotes him as saying.
According to Babkin, work on reducing import dependence is already underway. In addition, Rostselmash intends to master the production of some components at its own sites. Starting in autumn, the company expects to reach full production capacity.
