The Kurgan region is implementing various projects aimed at replacing imports, and will continue to support new ideas in this direction, Deputy Governor of the Kurgan region Andrey Alekseev told the editorial board of "Made in Russia" on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"The issue of import substitution is now the most urgent. Such projects are also being implemented in our region. Several production facilities have opened this year. <...> It will all benefit people, starting from the availability of some products, ending with the fact that it helps to create new jobs, new technologies," he said.

The Deputy Governor noted that now the country also has a high potential for import substitution in the field of creative industries.
