In St. Petersburg, manufacturers of medicines will produce full-cycle products, including finished drugs, pharmaceutical substances and intermediates, said Kirill Soloveitchik, chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of the city.

"We envisage the production in St. Petersburg of not only final medicines, but also full-cycle drugs, that is, pharmaceutical substances and intermediates," Soloveitchik said.

He noted that the production of industrial enterprises in the region has been fully analyzed in terms of international nonproprietary names and pharmaceutical substances, a draft order has been formed for the first offset contract to close the necessary positions, and now we are working on the formation of the next offset contract to close the need for the preferential segment.

According to him, the authorities also plan to conduct an analysis on medical devices and pharmacy fillings with medicines produced in St. Petersburg.
