Moscow Region enterprises have increased the production of electronics, optics and other complex equipment in the first five months of this year, said Ekaterina Zinovieva, head of the regional Ministry of Investment.

"Industrial production in the Moscow region from January to May 2022 increased by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2021. At the same time, significant growth was recorded in areas related to the production of complex high-precision machinery and equipment," she said.

The production of media, for example, has almost tripled, optical devices – 2.6 times, computers and peripheral equipment – 2.1 times.

According to Zinovieva, high-tech enterprises retain the potential for further growth in conditions when the Russian market has begun to reorient itself to domestic products.

As an example, the ministry cited the development of the company Dannie, which last year launched a contract production of electronics in the region. And last week, the company began to manufacture high-tech products for the Getmobit company near Moscow.
