In the first five months of this year, the Tambov region increased poultry meat exports by 2.7 times compared to the same period last year, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

Its exports in January-May 2022 increased 2.7 times compared to the same period last year.

"The leaders in the procurement of Tambov poultry are Asian countries, which acquire more than half of the total volume of poultry exports, as well as the countries of the Middle East and Transcaucasia," the report says.

According to the results of last year, the level of poultry meat supply in the Tambov region is 9 times higher than the rational consumption standards in the region.

As noted in the Ministry, the export of poultry meat within the framework of the implementation of the regional project "Export of agro-industrial complex products" in the Tambov region this year takes the leading position.
