A business delegation from Russia will visit Serbia

22

From July 12 to 19, 2016, a delegation consisting of representatives of 32 chambers of commerce and industry, trade unions and regional associations of small and medium-sized enterprises will visit Belgrade.

The aim of the visit will be to expand cooperation, find partners and strengthen cultural and economic ties. The trip was organized by the Serbian holding "Omnigroup", the Embassy and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Balkans.

The business mission will take place ahead of the Cultural and Economic Forum scheduled for March 2017. A visa-free regime has been in force between Russia and Serbia for many years, as well as a free trade agreement exempting up to 95% of goods exported from Russia and Serbia from duties and taxes.

Corporate Director of "Omniturs" Ivanki Daptskevic said that the presentation of the forum program will take place in an old hotel in Belgrade, built over a hundred years ago. At that time it was called the Grand Hotel Petrograd. After that, the Russian guests will be lucky to get acquainted with Belgrade, the cities of Novi Sad and Zlatibor.

Serbia is known for its agriculture and tourism. The export of Serbian food to Russia, after the European Union imposed a food embargo on certain goods, has increased 10 times, which is the result of frequent visits by representatives of major retailers and regional companies from Russia.
