Exhibition of paintings by Russian artists opened in China

More than a hundred works by contemporary Russian artists were presented at the exhibition that opened on July 23 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province of Northeast China, the Russian Consulate General in the city reported.

"The exhibition consists of 123 works made in a variety of genres, representative of the main directions of the development of oil painting in our country," the diplomatic mission told reporters.

The organizer of the exhibition is Harbin Jialand Art Gallery. The opening ceremony of the exposition was attended by the Consul General of Russia in Harbin Vladimir Oschepkov and the head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province Chen Zhe.
