Auto experts consider it necessary to cancel the duty on the import of electric vehicles from abroad. This will help give an impetus to the new development of the industry, as well as stimulate demand for electric cars, their production and the development of a network of charging stations. This project "Made in Russia" was told by auto expert Igor Mozharetto.

"After all, we lived for several years in conditions when they were canceled, and since this new year they have been returned. This is necessary so that people can easily bring here the cars they want to drive, at least while the market for the production of their own domestic cars is in its infancy," Igor Mozharetto added.

Recall that from May 2020 to December 31, 2021, zero duties on the import of electric cars were in effect in the EAEU countries, including Russia. Since the beginning of 2022, the measure has been canceled, reintroducing a rate of 15 percent of the customs value of the car.
