Russia's largest microelectronics plant has started producing chips for cars
The Micron plant, which is the country's largest manufacturer and exporter of microelectronics, announced the launch of new products. According to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, we are talking about the production of ten types of chips for instrument blocks.
The company's CEO Gennady Degtev says that the new units are already being mass—produced - the products can be used in body electronics systems, engine control, driver assistance systems and for the operation of lighting devices. According to Regnum, there are both mass chips and chips adapted for specific automakers in the Micron product line.
As the publication reminds, the company is a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone.
