The Russian government has allocated 200 billion rubles to fulfill the obligations of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) to pay insurance pensions and benefits. This is stated in the press service of the government.

As specified in the message, the funds were sent to the FIU from the reserve fund of the Government of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, control over the targeted and effective use of budget funds is entrusted to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. The agency was obliged to submit a report to the government by March 31, 2023.

Recall that the number of pensioners registered with the Pension Fund of Russia (FIU) by January 1, 2022 amounted to more than 42 million people. This indicator decreased by 2.3% (970 thousand people) compared to the same period a year earlier.
