The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has developed a unified procedure for the examination of water tariffs in the regions of Russia. The examination will be conducted in digital format. The corresponding order of the supervisory authority has been registered with the Ministry of Justice of Russia.

According to the antimonopoly agency, at the moment regulators are making over 71 thousand decisions on tariffs in the field of water supply and sanitation, MSW treatment and electric power industry.

The introduction of digital technologies into the process will ensure "a unified approach to tariff decision-making and end-to-end automatic verification of a large part of the parameters with the prevention of violations."

In particular, the innovations will allow real-time monitoring of tariff parameters and analyzing the economic parameters of tariffs in each subject of Russia, as well as accumulating average indicators for the country as a whole.
