A resident of the Dubna Special economic Zone, the company X Red Group, has received a certificate of state registration of the VR platform, said Ekaterina Zinovieva, Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.

"The company "X Red Group" has been a resident of the Dubna SEZ near Moscow since 2020 and is part of the IT cluster. The company develops software for virtual and augmented reality. In the spring, the company made a proposal to create an alternative domestic VR platform in Russia, and has already received a certificate of state registration of the Rustim program- said Zinovieva.

The head of the Moscow Region Ministry of Investment also recalled that last year the company began cooperation with one of the leading medical centers of the country, within which it patented a number of virtual programs and implements the SurgeryVR project. This is a simulator of surgical operations, which has received the support of the medical community, which is used today, among other things, for teaching students of medical universities.

Rustim is a unified VR platform with the ability to buy, sell and access VR content. We expect that the product will contribute to the creation of a stable domestic market for VR applications and reduce the opportunities for foreign companies to influence Russian consumers. In the shortest possible time, the platform for integrating VR software and hardware complexes into a single Rustim ecosystem can be fully implemented if funding is available. We have already submitted Rustim to participate in the competitive selection for grants from the Government of the Moscow Region in the fields of science, technology, engineering and innovation," said Bulat Karimov, CEO of X Red Group.
