Tetra Pak sells its business in Russia for 1 euro
Swedish packaging manufacturer Tetra Pak will sell its business in Russia, a subsidiary of Tetra Pak, to the Eaton Investments Group of companies. The transaction amount will be 1 euro. This is reported by Interfax with reference to informed sources.
According to one of the interlocutors, Eaton Investments will receive 100% of the company's shares. At the same time, another source clarified that the deal is under negotiation, but the main details have already been accepted.
As a result of the transaction, Tetra Pak will be replaced by a new brand, the creation of which will begin after the closing of the transaction. At the same time, Tetra Pak representatives refused to provide any details regarding the future agreement.
Recall that Tetra Pak announced its departure from Russia on July 26, all business in Russia was transferred to local management. The reason for the termination of work in the company was called the lack of the ability to ensure uninterrupted operation in conditions of external restrictions.
