Moscow authorities have given permission for the construction of the central arena of the Eduard Streltsov complex. It will resemble a gear that is placed on the emblem of the Torpedo football club, said Deputy Mayor of the capital Andrey Bochkarev.

"Not every world capital can boast of such a number of modern football stadiums as in Moscow. Until recently, the Torpedo Stadium remained the only one of the six arenas for holding matches of the national football championship, which was not completely reconstructed. This is the closest football arena to the city center. At the moment, the developer has received the necessary permits for the construction of a new sports facility on a historical site," Bochkarev said.

The future stadium is designed for 15 thousand spectators. The total area of the arena will be more than 53 thousand square meters.

The football field will be equipped with drainage, irrigation and liquid heating systems. Engineering equipment and parking will be located in the underground part of the stadium. The subtribe premises will include locker rooms for football players, referees, a medical unit, and doping control zones. A children's football school will be located in the southern sector. In addition, buffets will be opened around the perimeter of the stadium, and a press center and a block of television broadcasts will be equipped. There will also be planar parking lots with places for transport of low-mobility citizens, training fields and zones for workout.
