The leaders in the number of new car sales in Russia in the mass segment for the first seven months of 2022 were Lada, Kia and Hyundai, in the premium segment - BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi.

This became known during the forum "Parallel import", organized by the agency "Autostat". The share of the mass segment was 91.5% against 8.5% in the premium segment. According to the results of the first seven months of 2022, 354,642 cars were sold in the mass segment, 33,070 cars were sold in the premium segment.

In the mass segment, Lada cars accounted for 83,564 sales, which is 63.5% less than in the same period last year. Next are Kia (49,007; -59.4%), Hyundai (40,580; -58.3%), Renault (33,514; -58.7%), Toyota (22,693; -58%), Skoda (17,310; -70.8%), Volkswagen (15,739; -72.3%), Chery (15,387 -23.7%), Haval (14,723; -20.8%) and Nissan (13,998; -51.7%). The volume of sales in comparison with January-July 2021 increased at Exeed/Cheryexeed (4,806; +292.6%).

As for the premium segment, BMW became the leader - in January-July 2022, 9,137 new German brand cars were sold in Russia, which is 65.9% less than in the same period in 2021.

Next in the ranking are Mercedes Benz (8,508; -64.7%), Audi (3,308; -67.4%), Lexus (2,430; -79.5%), Volvo (1,700; -67.2%), Genesis (1,578; +49.7%), Porsche (1,537; -61.1%), Land Rover (1,416; -64.4%), Infiniti (796; -35.8%), MINI (659; -62.9%). In addition, Tesla electric cars were in the ranking, their sales amounted to 642 units, which is 170.9% more than in the first seven months of 2021.
