Days of Russian Cinema opened in Jordan and Amman

The Days of Russian Cinema started in Jordan. Screenings of Russian films will last until August 18 at the open cinema of the Royal Film Commission of Jordan. The audience will see the family adventure film "Palm Tree", the tragicomedy "The First Snow" and the historical drama "The Frenchman", the Ministry of Culture of Russia reported.

"The MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) today is one of the key for the promotion of Russian films, TV series and animation. In order to popularize content from Russia in this region and form a basis for cooperation with representatives of the Middle Eastern film industry, Roskino, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, has already held a number of events in 2022. So, in May, the participation of the Russian film industry under the single brand Russian Content Worldwide in the DISCOP Dubai television content market was organized. Twenty-eight companies have submitted more than 120 projects," the ministry said.

Thanks to Russian Film Days, Jordanian viewers will be able to see modern Russian films on the big screen. All the paintings will be shown with Arabic and English subtitles, the ministry noted.

"More than half a century of diplomatic relations between Russia and Jordan allow us to strengthen our cultural cooperation and implement new promising projects today. Holding Days of Russian Cinema in Jordan is intended to be an important step on this path. I am sure that modern Russian films will be highly appreciated by Jordanian viewers," said Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova.
