Traffic on the last section of the North-Eastern Chord in Moscow is open with the participation of Vladimir Putin
In Moscow, automobile traffic has officially opened along the last section of the North-Eastern Chord. We are talking about the segment between Dmitrov highway and Agricultural Street. According to Kommersant, Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in the opening ceremony via a conference call. According to the publication, now you can safely drive without standing at traffic lights from the MKAD interchange with M-11 to the Kosinskaya interchange, through which in the future motorists will be able to go to the M-12 Moscow-Kazan highway.
"There are only three chords in Moscow — south-eastern, north-western and north-eastern," the newspaper reminds. The publication reports that the latter two have recently been merged into a project called the Moscow High-Speed Diameter, the construction of which the authorities want to finish in 2023. For transit transport, traffic on the MD will be paid.
