An experimental steam motorcycle made of modern materials was created in Russia. According to the portal "Made with us", the development can be considered the fastest motorcycle with a classic engine.

"The Steam Motorcycle project was created in order to look into the past, feel the spirit of that time, touch the technologies of the 18th and 19th centuries, feel the romance of the steam era and just out of engineering interest," the website says and clarifies that the equipment has undergone more than one modernization. The result was decent: for this type of motorcycle turned out to have unique parameters. It is able to accelerate on a flat road up to 60 kilometers per hour, with a power reserve of 15 kilometers. This is a record for steam motorcycles. The equipment is made of scrap metal.

Chassis, boiler, burner, engine — almost everything was done manually. The boiler was eventually created from a gas cylinder, and the engine is the simplest double—acting steam engine, invented in 1774 by James Watt.
