The Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects and the Roskongress Foundation have initiated the creation of a unified National Communication Strategy based on the concept of the National Brand "Made in Russia" created and implemented by the Roskongress Foundation.

"Results of the session "Made in Russia. Creating a National Brand" showed the urgent need to harmonize the efforts made by federal executive authorities, development institutions and businesses to achieve common goals for systemic development and the creation of tools to create an image of Russia both domestically and on foreign markets. We consider the development of the National Communications Strategy to be an important step towards ensuring a long-term and effective image development strategy for the Russian Federation" - Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (ASI).

The strategy should provide a unified approach and key performance indicators for all Made in Russia FIVs, development institutions and other participants interested in promoting the Made in Russia national brand.

"The tasks set out in the strategy can only be achieved if there is a single instrument of coordination and assessment of the effectiveness of government activities aimed at promoting all sectors of the economy, the formation and maintenance of positive reputation of the country in the domestic and foreign markets. On this basis, we believe that the Roskongress Foundation, which has the competences and tools necessary for the creation of the National Strategy, including the National Brand "Made in Russia", could become a single center of competence and coordinator of this work", explained Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

"As of today, we have already received 449 applications for participation in the project National brand "Made in Russia", every week this number increases by 8-12 companies, 19 of them have already launched production with the brand, another 30 are preparing for launch in the second and third quarters of 2017. Popularity of the Roskongress Foundation session: "Made in Russia. The creation of a national brand of Russia" also indicates a great interest in the topic itself, but at the same time, it became clear that there is a disconnect between the FIV, development institutions and business in understanding how to promote the brand "Made in Russia" and the image of the country. It is in order to ensure a unified approach and take into account the interests of all interested parties that we propose the creation of a National Communications Strategy to promote Russia's productive, export, cultural, tourism and human capital", added Alexander Stuglev, Director, Roskongress Foundation.
