Pavlovsk received 300 thousand more visitors than last year

The Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve near St. Petersburg received 1.3 million visitors in 2022, which is 300 thousand more than last year and 200 thousand less than in the pre-pandemic 2019. This was announced by the director of the institution Vera Dementieva at a press conference.

"The number of visits this year is 1 million 300 thousand, data as of December 1. If we compare it with last year, it was 999 thousand, and in dokovidny - we had more than 1.5 million," said Dementieva, adding that the difference in attendance between 2021 and 2019 is comparable to the number of foreign guests hosted by the museum-reserve - about 200 thousand.

The Director noted that this year the own revenues of the Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve, that is, the funds that the museum earns from its services, reached 132 million rubles.

"In 2020, we had a sharp drop - 91 million, in 2019 - almost 200 million," she explained. At the same time, Dementieva added that next year a significant part of the benefits for visitors will remain, primarily for categories of retirement age.
