St. Petersburg industry was presented in Brno

The official opening of St. Petersburg's booth and presentation of St. Petersburg's industrial and innovation potential took place at MSV 2019, the largest engineering exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe, which is taking place these days in Brno, as part of the "Business Day of the Russian Federation".

The event was held at the Brno Exhibition Center. Alexander Zmeevsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Czech Republic, and Aleksey Yakovlev, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade, welcomed the exhibitors and participants.

In his welcoming speech, Alexander Zmeevsky noted the longstanding good-neighbourly relations, as well as strong cultural and economic ties between the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic.

In turn, Alexey Yakovlev noted that this year St. Petersburg is participating in the exhibition for the first time, but the increased interest shown by the exhibitors in the products and services presented at the city's booth allows us to say that in the future the leading and promising companies of the city will take part in joint Russian-Czech events such as MSV, especially given the fact that next year the Russian Federation is declared a partner country of the exhibition.

Later Alexey Yakovlev made a presentation "Industrial and innovative potential of Saint-Petersburg" in the framework of which he told in detail about the enterprises presented at the stand this year, prospects of development of scientific and industrial sector, as well as about Russian and international projects implemented in Saint-Petersburg and able to interest potential European partners.

This year 11 companies offering solutions in the field of industrial automation (Racurs-engineering LLC), production of explosion-proof equipment (Goreltech Plant LLC), precision casting (AKS Plant LLC), development and production of electronic equipment (Morsviazavtomatika SPC JSC) presented their products and services at the stand of St. Petersburg, bimetal castings and products for the nuclear, petrochemical and shipbuilding industries (JSC "Energometall"), design and manufacture of machine-tool equipment (St. Petersburg Machine Tool Industry Cluster Association), development and production of linear and angle encoders, as well as indication devices and control systems (Special Design Bureau of Machine Tool Information and Measuring Systems with Pilot Production), development and production of equipment for laser marking, engraving, welding, microprocessing and cutting (Laser Center), engineering and production in the field of foundry equipment (Association of Foundrymen of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region), design, construction and modernization of industrial furnaces and other heating and thermal equipment (TAKHTECH RUS LLC).
