Tomsk oncologists have developed a method for diagnosing intestinal cancer at an early stage by blood.

As explained by experts, bowel cancer, according to WHO, ranks third among the most common types of cancer. However, it is often detected already at late stages due to difficult diagnosis.

Researchers have found a new marker indicating the presence of cancer.

The method is insufficient to make a definitive diagnosis, however, since it is easier to donate blood than to conduct a histological examination, the coverage of patients will be wider. Consequently, the probability of earlier detection of the disease will also increase.
