The Saint-Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (NIU ITMO), the British company Alfa Wassermann and the Italian Next Level took part in the implementation of this international innovation project together with the group of companies Alkor Bio.

At the launch, the project was supported by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation: in 2014 Alkor Bio Group with its project "Creation of production of analytical robotic complex for clinical laboratory research using nano-reagents" became the winner of the competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation to select organizations for the right to receive subsidies for the implementation of complex projects to create high-tech production. At the first stage, work on the project was carried out jointly with NIU ITMO on the basis of a state grant and the company's own funds. As a result, in 2016 Alkor Bio State Corporation and ITMO University received two patents related to this development: "Automatic Blood Analyzer Device" and "User Interface for Automatic Blood Analyzer".

The registration certificate of Roszdravnadzor of the Russian Federation for the automatic immunochemical chemiluminescent MagnoLIA analyzer with accessories was received by Alkor Bio on December 6, 2019. Previously, the group of companies received the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in Healthcare and Social Development (Roszdravnadzor) for the same set of MagnoLIA TTG developed in the Alkor group for quantitative determination of thyroid hormone (TTH) in human blood serum and plasma (EDTA, sodium citrate, heparin) by the method of chemiluminescent immunoassay on microparticles using the MagnoLIA automated analyzer. MagnoLIA TTG kit is designed to be used together with the medical product "MagnoLIA TTG calibration kit" or "MagnoLIA TTG calibration quality control kit", both produced by Alcor Bio Group. Thyroid hormone (TTH) or thyrotropin is a tropic hormone of the anterior pituitary gland. TTG quantification is one of the main markers of the functional state of the thyroid gland and is widely used in laboratory diagnostics. At present, Alcor Bio is developing test systems for infectious and hormonal diagnostics using magnetic microparticles, which include nanoscale magnetite particles, to be installed on MagnoLIA analyzer.

MagnoLIA analyzer is a robotic system, which allows to carry out the analytical stage of immunological research by immunochemical method, without operator intervention from the moment of identification of a sample of human bio-material by this system to obtain a visual result. The productivity of the new analyzer is -120 results per hour. Number of simultaneous downloads - 96 patient samples with the possibility of setting urgent samples without interrupting the current measurement flow. Time of receiving the first result from the moment the session starts is from 15 min. depending on the applied technique.
