Profotech JSC and NANO IMPORTS GENERAL TRADING (UAE) entered into a distribution agreement
Within the framework of the agreement it is planned to promote the products of JSC Profotec and create integrated solutions for the technology "Digital Substation" for consumers in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
The agreement between the companies was signed for three years with the possibility of subsequent prolongation. The parties plan to certify Profotec products for Middle East countries, as well as to implement pilot projects, to establish digital solutions engineering and to organize a service center.
The creation of digital substations is the main and most promising trend in the modern power industry. Profotec products - optical current and voltage transformers - are the source of primary digital measurements, opening the way to digitalization in the power industry, the key to the construction of digital substations.
Today JSC "Profotek" is the only full cycle company in the world in the market of digital measuring devices. The company owns the technology to create a unique magnetic-sensitive optical fiber, develops, manufactures and maintains electronic current and voltage transformers.
Innovative solutions offered by "Profotek" are used at power supply facilities in Russia and Switzerland, serve as a benchmark for testing classical transformers in the laboratory of KEMA (Holland).
Optical transformers are a new, advanced class of equipment that uses fundamentally different physical principles and technologies. Interest in such equipment is due to its high accuracy and extended measuring range, stable operation over a wide temperature range, and reduced maintenance costs.
The results of operation show the superiority of digital measuring transformers over conventional ones due to the absence of magnetic saturation, stable operation under short-circuit currents and increased fire safety.
Profotech is successfully expanding the geography of its international partners, who have recently shown an active interest in digital technology for the power sector.
