Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree awarding Dmitry Morozov, CEO and co-owner of Biokad, with the medal of the Order for Services to Motherland, 2nd Class. The award was given to the head of the Russian biotechnology company in accordance with Decree № 392 "On awarding state awards of the Russian Federation" of 23.08.2019.

"Success and rapid growth of Biocad" was possible, first of all, thanks to the team, the willingness of each employee to work and grow on a daily basis - said Dmitry Morozov, when accepting the Order. - In fact, the award in my person is not me, but the team".

In 2010, under the leadership of Dmitry Morozov, the company launched a project to create drugs based on monoclonal antibodies: biosimilars of rituximab, trastusumab and bevacizumab to treat cancer. Previously, vital medicines were represented only by imported manufacturers.

Mr. Morozov used his research experience gained during the project implementation to organize the development of original drugs based on monoclonal antibodies for treatment of oncological and autoimmune diseases.

"Pharm business is tough, not for the faint of heart, it is built on those difficult situations in which people get into, - said the head of "Biocad". - To achieve something in this extremely difficult and closed area, you need to dive very deeply into it. In Russia, biotech companies that have achieved something can be counted on the fingers, although once there were quite a lot of them".

Dmitry Morozov is also one of the co-authors of the Pharma-2020 federal target program for the development of the Russian pharmaceutical industry.

Medal of the Order "For Services to the Motherland" - state award of the Russian Federation, established by order of the President of the Russian Federation March 2, 1992. It is awarded for significant matters for the country in various areas of labor activity.
