In Russia, they plan to import Photoshop and Premiere Pro
Ilya Massukh, Director of the Competence Center for Import Substitution in the Field of ICT, on the sidelines of the IT conference "Domestic Software: the path to technological sovereignty", said that in Russia it is planned to create analogs of multimedia editors for working with photos and videos to replace popular Adobe applications.
This will require $2 billion.
"There are niches that require injections. The niche is design, video management, photo, editors, production for cartoons — it is expensive. No one will throw it, multimedia editors are planned to be made to replace Adobe and other programs," Massukh said.
He clarified that this niche is not as relevant for the country as, for example, the topic of switching to domestic software in industry and other objects of critical information infrastructure.
Recall that in the spring Adobe announced the termination of the sale of its products in Russia. Thus, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign and other Adobe applications are not available for purchase and subscription in the Russian Federation.
